Ας είμαστε ειλικρινείς: Ενδεχομένως, αυτή να ήταν η χρονιά που ενδιαφερόμαστε περισσότερο ως Έλληνες για τις φετινές υποψηφιότητες στα Oscars 2024, καθώς έχουμε ηχηρή εκπροσώπηση και μάλιστα, εξαιρετική κατά γενική ομολογία. Λίγοι άλλωστε, είναι εκείνοι που είδαν το Poor Things του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου και δεν αγάπησαν τη Bella Baxter, γεγονός που αποτιμάται και μέσω των βραβείων που έχει ήδη κατακτήσει και ο ίδιος ο σκηνοθέτης, αλλά και η μούσα του Emma Stone. Προς αποφυγή παρεξηγήσεων: Δεν περιμένουμε τα όσκαρ για την αναγνώριση της ήδη ευρέως αποδεκτής δουλειάς του Λάνθιμου και του κάθε Λάνθιμου, αλλά για την επιπρόσθετη επιβράβευσή της.
Όλα έβησαν καλώς ωστόσο, και το φαβορί Oppenheimer ηγείται της κούρσας των φετινών Oscars, ενώ το Poor Things ακολουθεί με 11 - μία πραγματικά τεράστια επιτυχία. Σε 5 κατηγορίες επίσης, είναι υποψήφιο και το The Holdovers του επίσης Έλληνα (και με τη βούλα πλέον) Alexander Payne.
Θυμίζουμε ότι η 96η Τελετή Απονομής των βραβείων Όσκαρ θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή 10 Μαρτίου - όπως πάντα, ξημερώματα Δευτέρας για την Ελλάδα.
