Αν και η συντριπτική πλειοψηφία των ταινιών δημιουργούνται με σκοπό τις εισπράξεις, λίγες καταφέρνουν να ξεχωρίσουν ως αξέχαστες κινηματογραφικές επιτυχίες.
Και ενώ η πλειονότητα των σκηνοθετών το παλεύει όπως μπορεί, λίγοι είναι αυτοί που φτάνουν την αρτιότητα που απαιτείται για να αφήσουν εποχή. Γιατί ο δρόμος για την επιτυχία, δεν ήτανε ποτέ εύκολος.
Οι περισσότερες ταινίες λοιπόν, παράγονται με στόχο το κέρδος, ποιες όμως από αυτές καταφέρνουν να ξεχωρίσουν και να γίνουν ιστορικές επιτυχίες; Ο James Cameron, και άλλοι σκηνοθέτες που έχουν καταφέρει να δημιουργήσουν τέτοιες παραγωγές, είναι γεγονός ότι αποτελούν εξαίρεση.
Σήμερα λοιπόν, συγκεντρώσαμε για εσένα τις 100 ταινίες με τα υψηλότερα έσοδα στην ιστορία του κινηματογράφου με τον James Cameron και το Avatar να βρίσκονται δικαίως στην κορυφή. Ιδού η λίστα:
