Στα Barbie και Oppenheimer οι περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες στις Χρυσές Σφαίρες 2024

Οι υποψηφιότητες για τις Χρυσές Σφαίρες 2024 ανακοινώθηκαν προ ολίγου, με την ταινία Poor Things του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου να σαρώνει, συγκεντρώνοντας συνολικά επτά από αυτές σε πέντε κατηγορίες (Καλύτερης Ταινίας -Κωμωδίας ή Μιούζικαλ-, Σκηνοθεσίας, Α' Γυναικείου Ρόλου, Β' Ανδρικού Ρόλου, Σεναρίου και Μουσικής).

To Barbie της Greta Gerwig κυριάρχησε, αφού οι 10 υποψηφιότητές της την καθιστούν τη δεύτερη ταινία με τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες στην 81χρονη ιστορία του θεσμού, ισοβαθμώντας με το Cabaret. 

Το Oppenheimer ακολούθησε: Η ταινία του Christopher Nolan για τον J. Robert Oppenheimer και την ανάπτυξη της ατομικής βόμβας κατάφερε να συγκεντρώσει οκτώ υποψηφιότητες. Το Oppenheimer κυκλοφόρησε το ίδιο σαββατοκύριακο με το Barbie, μια σπάνια σύμπτωση για τα blockbusters που ενέπνευσε memes, αργότερα, αποκριάτικες στολές, ενώ παράλληλα εκτόξευσε το box office με το #barbiehenmer.
